it's my birthday, today i'm 64 and look every inch of it, but i appreciate my life and feel fortunate to be cult-free.
also very fortunate to have a purposeful and entertaining existence here in gorgeous north georgia (in the usa).

I'm Cuban too! I guess that makes you a second generation Cuban. Tell me, did she flee from Fidel Castro's regime or was she already here in the States in the late 1950s? I came here as a baby in my mother's arms when Fidel was consolidating his power and just before he shut down all flights to the United States.

I think you're worrying yourself in expectation of something bad. Just don't bring it up and forget about it. They probably have.
just read some of this latest awake on the org's webshite.. it begins by talking about the 'supernatural' - wizards, witches, vampires, etc.

then it goes on to state the wt belief that someone is 'behind it'.. now, i like a few horror/scary films - when i was a kid, i always actually liked being a bit scared by them, tbh.. the silence of the lambs, a nightmare on elm street (1984), the ring, the witch, the thing (1982) and a few others are all great, imo.. they are just genres and subgenres of film, that's all.

I disagree that Jesus was lax about the sabbath. He kept the Law meticulously but refused to bow a legalistic application of it.

I'm not convinced about that.
He's right cofty. For example, Moses had a man executed for gathering firewood on the Sabbath (Numbers 15:32-36.) yet Jesus was very lax (Matthew 12:1-5.). And yes, it stands to reason that Jesus be interpreted as the same god by the doctrine of the Trinity but this does not contradict the fact that there were contradictions or at the very least a contrast between Jesus and the Old Testament god.

We agree on Bernie Sanders and that people were fed up. I still believe that a rational choice would have been third party or Bernie being written in. But let me ask, would you have supported Bernie?

The OP was about Trump's administration's gross lack of security. Trump uses his unsecured phone for his daily tweets. The Secret Service tried to get him to use a more secure phone but he refuses to change his habits. Richard DeAgazio outed a man named "Rick" as the doomsday 'football' carrier. Trump had a conversation with others on a sensitive matter in a loud manner which could be overheard in the club’s dining room by members of the public.
My general point is that whatever the merits of Hillary Clinton's issues it was not justified by voting for an imbecile like Trump. There were third party candidates.

Freemindfade: What I'm saying is not that blacks and gays do not exist in the Republican party but that they are a minority in proportion to their representation in the general population. In other words, there's a lower percentage of blacks and gays in the Republican party than outside of it.
